Here’s a little glimpse of what Bintan Island brought us during this destination prewedding shoot. W+W powered through the rain like champs; unpredictable weather, and a Humpty Dumpty fall.

From the cloudy, rainy morning at the Sand Dunes to a quirky little café tucked away on the island, and the quiet, wind-swept lalang fields, each location gave us a completely different mood to work with. It’s what makes Bintan such an underrated gem for couples looking for something beyond the usual spots.

Big thanks to Baba Love Trip for bringing us to these beautiful hidden locations and for that unforgettable warm Sup Sapi on a cold, rainy day.

Theres too much to share on this wedding, set on a beautiful mansion at Cheltenham. As much as it was a foreign place to me, both Sam and Otto, together with their friends and families from different corners of the globe made us felt right at home.

This wedding is to simply put it; magical. Here’s some snippets from their celebration!

The day started over breakfast and a poem that was written many years ago by Ryan. We traced through a few spots where they used to date, sharing some of their stories along the way. Who ever knew one could find love even when you’re many miles away from home.

I don’t do much travels for assignments to be honest, but how timely our schedules were to make this shoot happen is a story for another day.

London with these two was really memorable. Both R&R took us to their Aunt’s home at the outskirts of London with a hearty dinner to complete our experience. We felt right at home in a land considered foreign to us. On top of that, the chemistry and love between them made it so easy for us. So here’s some images that summarises our journey with then in London, and in a little quaint town called Godalming.

Till date this is the craziest wedding I’ve ever documented. Thinking their ceremony in Singapore last year was already cool enough but this shit is at another level.

Day 0 was pretty epic alright.
Traveled 3 hours north of Canggu, where friends of Nate & Pia bonded over a huge glass of adrenaline juice.
When was the last time you dived in and said “I’ll give that a thought” later?

If there’s a way to throw a party for your mates, this is it. Am afternoon with games, booze, sand and that glorious, glorious sunset. Gotta admit it’s tiring as hell but my heart is full.

D-Day

This will be the most unique wedding I’ve ever shot in my career. Only Pia and Nathan can proudly tell their children, “Oh, daddy and mommy got married on top of a plane”. It’s so crazy even no words could describe it. This wedding was made with a bunch of close friends that’s down for some crazies, an epic idea, hip-hop music (yes!), lots of lots of love, and a couple that forgot what normal means.
What a wedding.

Yemei and Calvin’s wedding took place in Dalian, a province in China where Yemei was raised – endowed with its well-planned infrastructure, rich history, wonderful people and its oh-so-heavenly food.

Though we were thousands of miles away from home, the hospitality of her family coupled by the presence of our friends makes us feel a little bit closer to home.
