What is your photography style?
Wedding days are typically high pace and time waits for no man.
I adopt a documentary, unscripted approach to photography. Images are most beautiful when seen in their unique and genuine light. I let things fall into place naturally, documenting the seen and the unseen. They might not be epic, award-winning pictures – but my ultimate aim is to piece them together as a story.
Also, I love a good bit of humour in pictures.
We’re a shy couple – I’m worried about posing.
Couples often tell me this. Yours truly is a camera-shy person too. I get what it’s like to be on the other side.
We’re all not supermodels (bonus points if you are) so my directions are kept simple. My aim is for you to have fun and bring out your best, truest selves on your wedding day or prewedding session.
Even if you tell me, “Hey Thomas, I want us to look like cool kidz” – say no more fam. I’ll get you there.
Do you travel for destination weddings?
Point me on a map. Take me there. No questions asked – okay, maybe just a few.
I’ve shot destination weddings in Bali, Thailand, China, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand the UK, and beyond. If you’re planning a wedding overseas and looking for a Singapore-based destination wedding photographer, let’s talk!
Do you shoot at all venues in Singapore?
From hotel ballrooms to cosy restaurants – CHIJMES, Min Jiang at Dempsey, Monti, Pan Americana, or even a local neighbourhood spot. Nothing is off the list.
Can we meet before booking?
Always. Getting to know my couples is a must, and a zoom call is the best place to start, though I’m happy to meet in person too.
It’s important that you’re comfortable with who you’re hiring, and equally important that I understand your vision and what matters most to you on the day. So come tell me a little about yourselves – your favourite hangout spot, how you like your eggs done. All questions welcome too.
I’m keen! How do I book you?
A 50% deposit is required to secure your date. Contracts and invoices will be sent as part of the process. The remaining balance is due within a week after the event.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as possible to avoid disappointment. Availability for bookings typically open a year in advance.
How long is your delivery time?
For wedding days, expect to receive all your photos within 6 to 8 weeks, delivered on a beautiful online gallery.
Prewedding sessions, delivery is typically within 4 weeks.
Do you provide raw files?
We take pride in delivering the intended vision of the final product – from colour treatment to corrections big and small. Raw files in their unedited state don’t represent the work we want to deliver.
Think of it this way: you wouldn’t go to a restaurant and ask the chef for the raw ingredients, would you?
Do you work with a second shooter?
A second shooter can be provided upon request. This is especially useful for larger weddings or multi-location coverage, where having two sets of eyes means nothing gets missed.
Do you also offer videography?
Videography isn’t my craft but there are a few people whose work I genuinely believe in. I work closely with a trusted network of Singapore wedding videographers who share the same approach to storytelling. Head over to my Preferred Vendor list to check them out.
Do you have any surcharges?
Split day charges apply. No early or late hour charges.
You can find out more about my rates here.
What happens if you fall sick on my wedding day?
We understand that finding a last-minute replacement can be an incredibly stressful process. With my extended and highly responsive network, I will source a replacement of similar calibre and you’ll have the chance to review their work before giving the green light.
Your wedding day is in safe hands.
That said, I take this responsibility seriously. I keep myself healthy and rested leading up to every shoot. I wouldn’t miss your day for the world.
