“Two are better than one — for if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9
An Orthodox wedding carries a weight to it. The rituals, the chants, the incense; everything moves with intention. St. Thomas Orthodox Syrian Cathedral held the ceremony with that same quiet gravity, and it set the tone for the whole day.
What struck me most was how present everyone was. Not just the couple, but the room. Guests who leaned in during the vows, family who wiped tears they weren’t expecting, friends who caught each other’s eyes across the aisle and just knew.
By evening, PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay brought a different kind of warmth. The speeches were heartfelt, the toasts generous, and the couple steady with each other through all of it.
A good wedding doesn’t need to be loud. This one just needed to be real. And it was.
